Disney Infinity 2.0 Review
The sequel to Disney’s sandbox game gets beefed up with the addition of characters from the Marvel universe. Heroes like Iron Man, Spiderman, and Star Lord to name a few. Disney Infinity 2.0 offers 3 new play sets based on the Avengers, Spiderman, and Guardians of the Galaxy, as well as adding some new Disney characters.
I’m not going to talk about the play sets because I never played them. Unfortunately, I heard some negative reviews on the new play sets. While it is kind of cool to see Marvel characters and Disney characters together, the fact that you have to play through 3
My main focus is going to be on Toy Box 2.0 and the new powers. Like I said before, Disney Infinity 2.0 adds some new Disney characters, like Merida, Maleficent, and Stitch. Each 2.0 character has a unique special move ability. Every character now has a skill tree which gives each character new moves and special traits. Some characters can fly. Some of them can heal themselves or others.
Toy Box 2.0 hasn’t changed too much, but their are new tools that let you build stuff faster, and even more stuff to make more games. I haven’t mastered game making, but I’ve played other people’s levels. I’ve seen some incredible stuff made in the new toy box. Don’t believe me? Play them yourself.
One of the new gameplay features are these Toy Box game disks. Here, you can play a defense or adventure game. There are two Marvel ones, and there are two Disney ones. They are all very fun and they can earn you new stuff for the toy box. My personal favorite is the Brave Forest Siege. It’s a fun, bird’s eye view adventure where you fight wooden bears and get cake. Plus you have a little helper that you can customize.
The other new feature is the INterior. Here, you can create your own Disney living space of your dreams. You choose how the walls, floors, accents and lamps look. Add tons of Disney and Marvel based furniture too! You can even make interiors in toy box games too! I love the wide selection of customization options in these, but I still would of liked to see even more options.
Disney Infinity 2.0 is a lot more fun than the first, adding new features, abilities, and more convenient toy boy sharing. I give this game 4 and a half out of 5. Pick a starter pack and get creative.
